Over the next week, here are several topics you will write about on your blogs. Next to each is a date it should be completed by.
By all means, feel free to do any of these early (you all have the tools to write them already).
1. Pick a film you think had exceptional writing and look up the screenwriter
(or you can find a list of Academy Award nominees and winners at ).
After finding a screenwriter, look up some interesting information about that writer and other films they were a part of.

2. Same as above, but look up a producer.
The Academy Award for best picture is presented to the producers of the film. .
This should be completed by Monday, 1/13
3. Cinematographer. Academy Award for best cinematography nominees is a great place to start looking.
This should be completed by Tuesday, 1/14
4. Director. Academy Award for best director.
This should be completed by Wednesday, 1/15
5. Review of a Review. Pick a film and look up a professional review. Every newspaper in the country has someone reviewing almost every movie that is released. In your blog post, link to a trailer for the film, that review, and compare/contrast your own opinion to theirs, using the terms and techniques we have discussed in class.
This should be completed by Thursday, 1/16.
